What We Believe

"And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God."

- John 6:69
 

            The general beliefs and convictions of this Church are grounded in the Holy Scriptures, which are accepted and upheld as the revealed Word of God.  All members concur and uphold these foundational truths of our faith,,,

            (1)  The Bible is the verbally inspired Word of God, the only infallible rule of faith and

                        practice.

            (2)  There is one true and living God, the Creator of Heaven and Earth, who is revealed

                        to us in the trinity of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

            (3)  The Lord Jesus Christ is the eternal son of God, who was born of the virgin Mary,

                        was crucified on the cross as a propitiation for our sins, was buried and

                        descended into hell and on the third day rose again from the dead in bodily

                        resurrection.  He ascended into heaven and now sits at the right hand of God

                        the Father where he ever lives to make intercession for us. 

            (4)  All men are lost apart from the saving grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.  Salvation

                        comes only through personal repentance and faith in the precious blood of

                        Jesus Christ to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

            (5)  There is a Baptism in the Holy Spirit according to Acts 2:4 that enables believers to

                        function in things pertaining to the Spirit.

            (6)  Jesus Christ shall personally come a second time to establish His Kingdom on the

                        earth.
