Mindy grew up in
the Frankfort area and eventually moved to Herkimer.
She attended church in that area and then became a
Christian. In the 1980's, Mindy went on her
first missionary trip to visit others serving in the
mission field. She returned home with a burden
from the Lord. The burden that the Lord put on
her heart was for the orphans and street children
that she had seen through eyes of compassion.
She committed her life to the burden of the Lord and
began to save her money. For 10 years she
lived very frugally, having no car and just a small
apartment, saving for the time she would be released
to serve Him in a foreign land. With the
continued desire to be a "mother to the
mother-less", Mindy said goodbye to her life in the
United States in 2001 and followed God's leading to
the west coast of Africa. She now lives in
Ghana, Africa, working with the orphans and street
children ministering the love of God to them.
